The company also asked us about the kind of retractable awning system that we would like to use in our home. According to their staff, we could either have it manually retractable or have it installed with a mechanism that will use a remote control so we can swing it in just a press of a button.
I also asked them if I can add some accent lighting for our awnings so it could give our patio a more dramatic ambience. I could just imagine how my four-year-old daughter would love to hang out with us in the patio while waiting for the sun to go down. Then we will all enjoy sipping our home-brewed iced tea while talking about how we spent our day.
Since it tends to be very humid in Singapore, I asked our roofing contractor to integrate a cooling system in our patio awning. This will make it more pleasurable for us to hang out in our outdoor seating area during the summer.
Despite all our requests, the roofing contractor managed to deliver what was expected from their company. Because of this, my entire family and I can now say that the patio became the favourite spot at home. We would definitely spend a lot of happy times in this area for a long time.
